What is Slaughterball ?

Around the northern parts on the island of Gotland, there is a territory called Ire, Hangvar. In the beginning of July every year, this place becomes a gathering point of the most hard-headed men alive. "-What does that mean ?", you might ask yourself. Here comes an overviewing explanation:

• Slaughterball was invented around 1985 and has been developed into a complete World tournament activity.

• Each team consists of two licensed male players. ( Women are strictly forbidden on the court. )

• Over a two meter high net, the teams strike their points by hitting and kicking a specially designed ball.

• Slaughterball is mostly a very painful activity, so vast quantities of beer is often consumed in order to withstand the strains.
